Moving staffers did NOT arrive in the agreed up on time window and charged me a $200 free.
They called 5 to 10 minutes before the window was supposed to end to say they would be "a few minutes late." When I asked several questions to get the guy to say an actual amount of time, it was about 1.5 hours, maybe longer. Arriving that late would not have provided enough time for the move that day. The move had to be completed by a certain time to be able to dispose of the excess furniture.
I can't even begin to explain how disappointed I am in U-pack and the company that they hired on our behalf moving staffers. They caused damage to over 60% of our property, and what I am estimating at 20K+ in damage. The service of U-pack was horrible from the start, when working with us, they gave us a quote and were completely off in the amount of space we needed in a truck, we ended up needing twice as much space as they apparently don't know how to estimate properly. Then we had several scheduling issues. They gave us estimated delivery windows which were also incorrect. But most notably was referring us to Moving Staffers who sub contracts work out to other companies who don't seem to have a good rating who have no regard to clients personal property and loaded things in the truck so bad that we had so much damage to our property. These guys were horrible, and for the cost we should have used a company that does it all for you.
They have instituted several process to minimize their commitment to the customer in hopes of maximizing their revenue. What is actually happening is that people like me who move (once every few years) will not use them and are posting reviews. I've used several companies before and see that this one is at the bottom of the barrel.
TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! TERRIBLE! DO NOT USE! Not only did they over charge and charge my card more than once without permission, they damaged my bed and didn't take any responsibility for it. They broke and intricate piece that cost $100 dollars to replace! They were also late to the job and unorganized. When I complained about all of this they did absolutely NOTHING to resolve my issues. NEVER EVER AGAIN!! Warning everyone I know about them!!!!
Support team was poor. Very bad communication. I called to see when my movers would be there the next day. No answer. Never got a call back from moving staffers. Got a call from the actual moving company when they were on their way. I also called to schedule a to have helpers when the truck arrived. I was told that there were no openings, so I had to find help on my own, and was given the run around. Poor, poor, experience. I will never use moving staffers again. In addition, price for Moving Staffers was much more than when I found professional movers on my own, through other companies.
Worst moving company ever! Broke my glass table & scratched my TV and did not replace. Read the fine print these movers are not liable for anything & will treat your stuff like garbage. Who needs movers like that
They said they are not obligated to the time estimate that they provide customers, thus can charge $150 fee even though they did not plan to show up in time for the move.
I cancelled the move due to the bad customer service. I've moved several times (15+ times) and the companies that are most unreliable about 1) times to show up and 2) lack the integrity and responsibility provide updates are usually the worst at the job itself. Doing the job well starts with showing up.
Moving Staffers charged $150 for cancelling the loading and $50 for cancelling the unloading.
This company has TERRIBLE customer service.
When I cancelled, they also did not tell me about a $50 fee for the unloading.
