Knowing his attitude toward homosexuals, my aunt told him that my uncle, who is gay, would be attending church with us and to please not bring up the issue (A Christmas service, so no reason to but still, better to be safe than sorry.) Except armed with the knowledge that my uncle was gay and despite his promise, he made sure to incorporate his gay-hating agenda into the sermon about the miracle of Jesus' birth. Needless to say, my uncle felt very alienated from our family for several years because he assumed someone had told Danny to please save his corrupt soul. Thanks, Danny, for the damage you caused.
