I was visiting my daughter in Wichita Falls in August of 2016. After having lived in Wichita Falls from 1973-1986, I decided just for fun to look at houses for sale in the area. My family and I saw a house on Southfork Drive and I instantly fell in love with the home.

Fourth, perhaps due to the 10-foot ceilings design, the attics become short in height. I have to crawl (I am only 5-8) in the attics in order to change AC filter. Makes no sense to me.

We absolutely love our home! My husband and I knew RJ a long time before we decided to build a custom house with him... and, we couldn't be happier with the result! He and the family members who work for him are different from what you' expect, but - there is no comparison between their homes and any other builder here in Wichita Falls. He is simply the best. Also, it was a blast to design my home with Cindy (his sister)! Our project was completely custom and different than what he normally builds, and the result was every bit as awesome as we could've imaged it. Would definitely recommend RJ to anyone else looking to build or buy a new home in Wichita Falls or surrounding areas! Even after building with his company... we received excellent support for any issues that did arise during our first few years. His staff takes care of you and that's something we found that was important to us.

When my husband and I decided to sell our home and started looking for another, we were instantly drawn to the Wachsman homes. We looked at pre-owned homes, and new ones from other builders, yet we could not get past RJ Wachsman Homes! We finally realized we HAD to have one of the model homes that Randy wasn't quite ready to part with. Boy we gave him a hard time but he was so awesome. He knew that we loved his work and that this was the only one we wanted. He really worked with us to help us make it all happen and so easily. I can go on and on about the beauty of his homes, the great detail and amenities, the great layouts, perfect color choices etc., etc. But the comfort and joy of working with the Wachsman family is what I loved best. They work with SO MANY people, yet keep a patience and wonderful attitude through it all as though you are their only client. I fell in love with the house but also with the Wachsman family. Judy is an angel, and I'm proud to call Tanner and his wife friends now. They were and STILL ARE just a call or text away for any questions or anything else. There were no complaints but they make certain that if there were to be something come up, that they will quickly work to correct it. Beautiful work, great experience, perfect area. Nothing but positive things to say and I am grateful for Randy helping us get the home of our dreams at this point in our lives.

Let me emphasize that I am writing this review as an average Joe using my experience in living in my past homes in other cities in Texas. Wachsman's houses are fine and with acceptable quality. However, it may be the lack of competition or personal arrogance, their houses are not the top-notch to me. I would encourage the builder to go outside of Wichita Falls (maybe they did already) and see other builders' houses. This may allow the builder to improve the quality and design.

My husband and I have decided to move out to the country and build again and our beautiful home sold quickly. In our minds, THERE WOULD BE NO OTHER BUILDER WE WOULD USE for our new home, other than RJ Wachsman Homes. We are getting started on it now. Another thing I LOVE is that Randy really "listens" to what we want, and goes to action to get it for us. Everyone in the RJ Wachsman office is beyond helpful....most are family members who really "listen" when you have a question, or if you need their opinion on a choice....you can really TRUST them. Every single thing I have said here is true, and I highly recommend anyone looking to build a home, to use RJ Wachsman homes!

First is the 2-car garage. It seems that one needs to be quite careful when parking two cars into the so-called two-car garage. I don't have large-sized cars or lots of stuff in the garage but it annoys me when I have to carefully drive into the garage and open the car doors carefully in order not to hit the wall or the other car. Also, one cannot lower the attic ladder with two cars parked inside the garage. I wonder, for instance, when there is bad weather (e.g., hails) and I need to go up to the attic to see if the roof has hail damage, should I move one of my car out of garage?

My husband and I purchased five homes over our 50 years together and I must say - this one by myself was the easiest.

Finally, the design of flower beds could be smarter. To me, they should have used concrete or bricks to form flowers beds so that it would be easier when trimming grass along the edges of the flower beds.

Third, it is quite nice that their houses have tall ceilings (10-foot ceilings if I am not mistaken). I was attracted by this to be honest as my previous house had 8-foot ceilings. However, this design makes the AC unit works harder. If you care about your electricity bills, you may find this design unpleasant. Perhaps they could just have some rooms with 10-foot ceilings rather than almost the entire house.

My family and I moved to Wichita Falls few months back due to job relocation. Before we got here, my future colleagues and local realtor constantly praised RJ Wachsman's homes and quality. We did end up buying a house from RJ Wachsman. After living for a few months, I can honestly say that the house itself is fine but I would not give the house the highest praise like other reviewers. Please note that I am speaking as an average person rather than as an engineer, architect, or home builder who know more about constructions. To me, there are some design flaws, which create inconvenience at least to me.

There is no better builder than RJ Wachsman Homes. Period. My husband and I had them build us a home 3 years ago. I wish you could see it. It's right under 2000 square feet, and the prettiest home you have ever seen, with the most beautiful ceilings, arches, lots of windows, a STUNNINGLY beautiful kitchen.....attention to such detail in the bathrooms. The insulation in the home is so good that our electric bill this year for April, May and June were $55, $61, $62!!!

Second, if you like to cook, be prepared for having cooking smell all around the house as the range hood vent only circulates air within the house. Then, why even bother to have rang vent?

I saw the home once... and went back to South Carolina... and immediately put my house on the market! My house sold quickly and I turned right around and purchased the home I had fallen in love with. All negotiations were made over the phone since I did not live in Wichita Falls (obviously). The Wachsman Homes team made it so easy to complete the deal. I said my wishes, they said their wishes, and we met in the middle! They mailed the contract to me. I signed it and mailed it back. Buying the home was as easy as that. They worked with a title company here to have everything ready for the closing when I arrived into town. I received my keys to the house and realized once more why I wanted this beautiful home. Randy, Tanner and the company are as close as the phone when and if I have questions. If they don't know the answer, they know someone who does! I now tell my friends that "dreams do come true". I also tell them that I love my home.

The first property I visited had a great open concept floor plan with so much attention to detail! With features like: high end fixtures, rounded walls, custom drapes, gorgeous tile selections in the kitchen, bathrooms and fireplace... and ceramic tile flooring throughout the home. The master bedroom is huge in size as well as the master bathroom, including the walk in closet. The guest bedrooms are on the opposite side of the house which is nice. The kitchen has beautiful granite countertops with stainless steel appliances. The laundry room is directly off the kitchen with large storage shelves as well as cabinets. Also, the utility room has a nice, large countertop where I can fold clothes.
