I want to share this racist moment that my daughter experience today at a professional salon in Wichita falls, TX where she is attending college. she went to do her hair at SUPERCUTS hair salon at 3909 Kemp Blvd when one of the hairstylist refer my daughter to go to an "African hairstylist" she stated not to damage her hair, by doing "wash and set " I don't think you cannot do any dramatic damage if it have happen. We are facing a critical time. Oh if you don't know my daughter background she comes from Hispanic Heritage, (Dominican).waving/kink hair.I will not recommend this supercuts :-(
Cut my husbands hair and did a really good job
Ironically, i searched for a place to get my hair cut in Wichita Falls TX by reading reviews last Sunday. Supercuts didnt seem too bad. I called ahead and asked if they were available for a walk in @ 3:45pm because they were closing at 5pm.The person who answered the phone was friendly and told me to come on by. I made it in just before 4pm. When I arrived, there were 4 people waiting, and 3 people getting their hair cut. I signed in and sat down and 2 others came in behind me and sat down. After 5 min 2 women came out of the back, which surprised me because people were waiting when I arrived, so I wondered how long they were waiting. Within 20 min people were freshly cut and walking out the door, there was just myself and one more person left waiting for a cut (someone that came after me was put ahead of me, no big deal). There was only one person seated getting a hair cut. It was now 4:35pm The rest of the employees went to the back once they finished their client, to what seemed like a break room and could be heard laughing and carrying on. The one employee who was left cutting hair finished with her client, and grabbed a broom and began sweeping. This lasted for 5 min, as me and the other remaining customer remained seated waiting. Talking amongst ourselves about the wait and why there was no-one else cutting hair, I asked the employee who was sweeping if they were done for the day, it was now 4:45pm, she was sweeping and no one else was coming back out. She says someone will be right with us. I watch her go into that room where the rest of the employees are, she comes back out, still "sweeping" and another employee is behind her. Halfway to the front, this employee turns around and goes back into that room. At this point i stand up, say good luck to the guy who was waiting with me, as he was also losing his patience and I leave. I call twice at 4:55pm (because the first time my call was not answered) and ask to speak to the manager, the woman that answers says she is the manager. WOW! So I ask her why I sat for 45 min waiting on a hair cut, where there was more than enough employees available to get the job done in a timely fashion. No answer. I ask for the general manager's name, she would not give me the name and said I can call back tomorrow (Monday) and she will direct me to the person to speak to about my problem. No thank you Supercuts manager, I will just never return and let it be known... if you want to waste a little time on a Sunday afternoon, this is your go to spot. I wish Google would add a feature to let you upload a video. I Snapped this entire visit with time stamps, and was asked why I didn't leave after the first 30 min. Because I believe good customer service exists... it just doesn't exist here.
The haircut was good over all but the price is insanely high. I know people charge more for fades but 18 dollars for an “ok” fade is not acceptable.
