Had burger and onion rings , burger was ok not great. Onion rings were just nasty, they were battered in some sweet batter that tasted like fish fry. Not going back ever.

Great fish Basket! Great fry cooking! Good onion rings! :-) cooked nice and brown, Never over cooked, served crispy. A loyal customer, since the 1950's.
Gene's offers a microwave and heat lamp free pure flat grill burger experience. Our two-burger special with large fries and two drinks cost $13.10! They grilled my onions as requested and kept our drinks full.This clean neighborhood grill offered great service and friendly conversation with locals who recognized we were passing through. If you prefer trendy places limited to ironic hospitality you might go elsewhere...please.
I had the bacon cheese burger along with the chili cheese tots. The burger was good and the bacon was cooked well. The tots come with a lot of cool and cheese. I ended up using the leftover on my burger. The place is nice and clean. The staff was friendly. I'll definitely go back.
