This restaurant is fairly new to the area. That being said they still have some work on thier routine. Came in for a lunch, was three people total. The wait for food was long. There was also confusion on the menu. The waitress had to erase a few dishes off the menu. Food was really good. Definitely recommend getting the dish smothered in gravy. But again could use some tightening up. Maybe given time they will get a rythme.
The sausage was spoiled in the beans. The ham was spoiled in the chef salad. The fried fish was pink. Pork chops were not fully cooked. The chicken fried steak tasted old. Turns out the cashier told us while they were closed they had lost power. So I'm going with our food was spoiled. Will never be back to this place again.
We had a group of 7 for lunch, we were the ONLY people in the restaurant. It took 45 plus minutes to get our food. Half of the table got their food about 15 minjtes before us. The rest of us had to get it to go.
Had lunch with my friends and I today,, OMG the food was to die for, I had meatloaf with pinto beans and potatoes as well, best pinto beans I Ever eaten, cornbread was delicious, can't wait to go back, latest back atmosphere, love the music...everything was magnificent, thank you, the best soul food hands down.
OMG, whoever find a problem with this delicious food, obviously don't know what home cooking at it's best is a the Baked Chicken is definitely number #1 and the dressing you could actually kill yourself on, Great atmosphere,love the music,quite,you could almost fall asleep .... beautiful decor.
This place was great, the portions were huge and food was to die for, the atmosphere was laid back and welcoming and appealing to the eye as well, and the owner was in store doing the cooking herself. These fried pork chops were the most tender, flavorful pork chops to have ever eaten out with delicious flakey breading. Corn bread, mashed potatoes, and green beans all full of flavor. My husband got the smothered pork chops and didn't even let me taste, but that's what I will be getting next time. Amazing local restaurant, would recommend to all my friends and family!
