Pediatric and Associates is supposed to be one of the best Pediatric offices in Wichita Falls, TX. Dr. Terry Johnson goes above and beyond for his patients and is never rushed when a parent has 100 questions. I used to think Dr. Kaiser was just as great, my daughter only saw him once for the flu and his bed side manner was amazing and his nurse was fantastic. So we decided to switch to his care, however, before my kids could see Dr. Kaiser signed a letter that stated “we will no longer be your children’s physician and will stop providing medical care to your child…” A week prior to this Pediatric and Associated lost my child’s evaluation from Rose Street Mental Clinic that I hand delivered to them in December, they could not tell me what happened. So I called them out since there was personal patient information on those documents they were violating HIPAA, it’s a medical document. I waited more than 5 minutes on hold for a manager, but I had kids and other responsibilities so I had to hang up the phone. I found out later that afternoon, when I hand delivered a second copy of the documents, that the manager was just too busy to call me back that when she got to the phone I had already hung up and she and the office were just too busy. Now this is not the first issue. In September my daughter was seen for fever, stomach pains and a sore throat… they said step never tested. She started having a bad rash, brought her back, took her off meds, rash got worse, I called, was never offered an appointment for her to be seen, instead they called in a prescription that she had already been prescribed by her specialist in Dallas. Therefore prescribing a medication a patient is already prescribed is a great indicator they never reviewed or even looked at her chart before prescribing her meds. Scary!! Also there was an issue with just getting her evaluated for her autism, we were blown off and told it was sleep deprivation and a bad school environment. This is after we told the Dr she was getting 10 hours asleep a night.
One more thing, the murals painted throughout the building are awesome.
All the staff seem very friendly and knowledgeable regarding their respective areas. Wait times for me are typically 20 minutes or less from sign-in to seeing the doctor. The first couple hours each day are for walk-ins, which has been a lifesaver for the spontaneous sick days with the kids.
Finally we fought with them and sure enough she has high functioning autism. She also did not need the medication prescribed because they were already in the house, and for the records they lost I still don’t know what happened to the first copy I gave them. Dr Kaiser did not see my child for any of these issues however he signed the letter to dismiss my children. Why are my children being dismissed? Because I called them out on their wrong doings, I would not hear their excuses because not once did they apologize for miss handling my child’s care or her paper work. I was only told that they are a busy pediatric office and my child is not the only patient. I say no medical professional’s time is more important than that of the patient they have wronged. We are moving on to a more professional compassionate and organized office. Sorry Dr. Terry Johnson you are a great Dr. But I only speak the truth of how we were treated, and I have requested, more than once, a sit down with you before this review went up.

The new facility is very nice, modern, clean, and kid friendly with iPads and televisions to help keep them occupied during the short wait.
The girls that work the front desk are probably some of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. But the doctors are always really friendly, polite, and do really well with my kids.
I didn't know Dr. Johnson's medical record history (i.e. malpractice suits) or other history when we went with him as our pediatrician. Be *sure* to check out the Texas Medical Board website to look up his license. It is hard to trust the few other doctors who work under him when he has a record like that. I know the lady whose child died under his medical care because he wouldn't take her seriously about her daughter. The staff also refused to make an appointment for my infant when she got a serious case of pneumonia. They wanted her to come into sick call and wait with all the other sick kids in a room. Then the "business manager" cocked an unbelievably unprofessional attitude when my husband asked to speak with him about the situation. We told them them we were leaving their practice and we did. We went with Dr. Ucol and he is amazing and highly competent. AND you can make sick appointments with Dr. Ucol the same day. (This is written by Richard's wife, Kyle Townes)
